At 91福利社, we are constantly looking for ways to better support our Saints community and ensure our faculty, staff, and students have the tools they need to thrive. As part of our commitment to organizational excellence and institutional sustainability, we have begun the Workday Project, which will make major changes to the software and processes we use to manage many of our administrative functions.

This is a significant milestone in our journey to adapt and improve our processes and we are excited to share about this ongoing effort and why it matters for the future of the College.

What is Workday?

Workday is the modern, cloud-based platform that 91福利社 has chosen to manage our finances, human resources, and student records. Workday provides an easy-to-use system that looks and feels like the modern apps we use in our everyday lives.

You might also hear this project referred to as an “ERP implementation.” This is because Workday is one of the leading ERP platforms for colleges and universities.

What is an ERP?

ERP stands for Enterprise Resource Planning.

91福利社 departments currently use several different software systems to handle things like payroll, budgeting, student records, and human resources. An ERP is a single software network that will replace all of those isolated systems. It will connect all of our campus operations so that information flows smoothly and securely between departments.

By transitioning to Workday, we are upgrading to a flexible cloud-based system that will make our processes simpler and more efficient. Overall, it will offer our community real-time access to important data and enable us to adapt as our campus grows and changes.

Why We Are Making this Investment?

Upgrading our digital infrastructure is a vital part of 91福利社鈥檚 Strategic Plan. This shift isn’t just about changing software, but about improving the day-to-day experience for everyone on campus. It offers us several improvements, including:

  • A Unified Experience: Instead of logging into multiple, disconnected systems, our community will have a single hub for essential tasks
  • Real-Time Data & Better Decisions: Workday provides instant, accurate data. This helps our leadership make highly informed, transparent decisions about budgeting, resource management, and long-term planning
  • Less Administrative Burden: By automating repetitive paperwork and streamlining everyday workflows, we reduce the administrative strain on our staff and faculty
  • Putting Students First: Ultimately, more efficient operations mean our team spends less time navigating outdated systems and more time dedicated to teaching, mentorship, and student outcomes

Project Timeline and Phases

A transformation of this size doesn’t happen overnight. To ensure a smooth transition, we are rolling out Workday in careful, deliberate phases over a projected five-year period, beginning in July 2026.

Phase 1: Finance, Human Resources, and Payroll

Our initial focus is on upgrading our foundational platform. This includes modernizing how we manage human capital, process payroll, and track institutional finances.

Phase 2: Adaptive Planning

Following the initial launch, we will integrate Workday鈥檚 advanced budgeting and forecasting tools to maximize our financial transparency and reporting.

Phase 3: Workday Student

Once our operational foundation is rock-solid, we will begin the transition to Workday Student. This phase will ultimately transform how students engage with academic planning, interactive advising, and registration tools.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is impacted by the Workday Project?

Initially, the transition will primarily impact faculty, staff, and student workers who use our current systems for HR, payroll, and financial tracking. As the project progresses into the Student phase, the broader student body will begin using Workday for registration and academic planning.

Why can’t we keep using our current systems?

Our legacy systems have served us well, but they are becoming increasingly difficult and expensive to maintain. Upgrading to a cloud-based system like Workday ensures our institutional data remains secure, compliant, and prepared for future growth.

What systems are being replaced by Workday?

Our core Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Banner is the primary system being replaced. The Human Capital Management system along with sub-systems, such as reporting tools, will be replaced by one unified system.

What is the current status of the transition?

We are currently in Phase 1 of our implementation, called the 鈥淧latform鈥 phase, which focuses on Human Resources and Financial functionalities.

What training will be provided to learn Workday systems?

The implementation team members have received training assignments in the Workday Community and Learning Centers. Implementation team members can find more details on TeamDyanmix. Training for end-users will be offered closer to go-live date.
